So, I waited a while to post this (7 months)- sorry. Anyways, I know what it's like to have fecal-odor breath. Trust me, I suffered with it for a year and a half until I got rid of it. It was my last year in college, so I was doing interviews, hanging out with friends, etc. I would constantly google what it could be and I kept seeing (and ignoring) this same post --> "A fecal odor to the breath (the breath smells like feces) can occur with prolonged vomiting" - I am SURE you guys have seen it too and thought to yourself, I am not throwing up often WTF - anyways so I went on convinced that it was related to my stomach or intestines bc...where else could that smell come from? I also thought it may be related to my stomach because the bad breath would get worse when I was really hungry or just after I ate. I went to a GI doctor...and even got a colonoscopy at the age of 23. They found NOTHING. Anyways- I am going to cut to the chase here. I realized that the smell was coming from, *SURPRISE* PROLONGED VOMITING, not actually throwing up, more like heart burn, I guess the stomach acid was causing the smell. I didn't know I had it bc I never feel heart burn, and never really even throw up in my mouth - a good clue is that I was getting nauseated kind of often (not to mention the breath) anyways, so I took *please note I am obviously not a doctor* Prilosec and the smell has been gone for 7 months. You have to take it ever four months - but hell, it's worth it. Trust me, I have read this forum for a year and tried EVERY SUGGESTION. I tried ox bile, fish oil, daily vitamins, flax seed, probiotics, cutting out every food that I liked. What a waste of money and tears - but I BEAT IT! I truley hope this helps someone else!!!!!!
