I have followed your forum for awhile and wondered if you could help me with a few issues. I did take a fair amount of drugs at a certain point in my life ecstasy, mushrooms,a little bit of cocaine.Last time about 5 years ago. I have wondered if they damaged my liver.
The drugs can do damage to a number of areas of the body. The adrenals and nervous system mostly.
These issues all came about at the same time about 2 and a half years ago in the midst of a bad break -up and just after doing a cleanse. They have improved to a certain degree after a few cleanses and various supplements.
The stress of a bad break up can further aggravate the adrenals.
White tongue- Thought it was candida. Did a candida cleanse
and it didn't go away.
A white tongue can also be bacterial overgrowth and is pretty common and is frequently mistaken for thrush. Candida overgrowth in the mouth and throat is referred to as thrush. Thrush forms thicker white patches. I recommend using a tongue scraper to help keep it under control. Sucking on zinc tablets also helps a lot. As the tablet dissolves swish the saliva around so the zinc coats all the inside of the mouth.
Ringing in both ears-
A natropath I saw said sometimes it can be linked to the adrenals. Did some adrenal support per his recommendation and it didn't seem to help. Also read about coffee affecting the blood around the ears. Quite for 2 months and it didn't seem to help.
This is called tinnitus and has a number of causes. Injuries from loud noises can cause tinnitus as well as blood vessel constriction near the ears. Drugs such as NSAIDs are a common cause. Stimulants like caffeine and nicotine can also contribute. Occasionally a displaced vertebrae in the neck can compress on blood vessels contributing to the problem.
Varicose veins on legs (back of calf and above knee on thigh)-
Tried various creams. No change. Have taken apple cider vinegar 3 times a day for 2 months maybe helped a little bit. I have to stand a lot for work seems to aggravate them.
Yes, standing a lot will put more pressure on the veins as gravity pulls the blood downward. Varicose veins are best treated internally with silica and vitamin C sources. The herb butcher's broom is also excellent for varicose veins. Butcher's broom dilates the deeper primary blood vessels while constricting the superficial blood vessels. This also helps to keep the legs from tiring out when standing a lot. It is also a good silica source to strengthen the blood vessels.
The bitters can also help with varicose veins by both increasing silica absorption and by relieving pressure on the portal vein.
When I lie in bed I can feel a kind of pulsing near ankle and in thigh of left leg which feels like the blood is struggling to move through.
This is hard to say much about. There could be a narrowing of a space where an artery goes through, a bone spur compressing an artery or some other constriction.
Loose joints on left arm left leg and foot. Only on the one side so its confusing -
Thought the candida detox might help because I read that candida can attack joints. Maybe helped a bit.
I disagree with the claim about Candida attacking the joints. Candida rarely ever goes systemic to begin with. Most joint issues result from silica deficiencies leading to losses of collagen, elastin and chondroitin.
Dizziness -
Not the kind you get when your drunk or standing up more my vision will break up so i see 3 or 4 of everything in each eye. The eyes feel dry and i worry I'am going to have a stroke. Last for about a minute or 2 then passes.
This is another one with lots of potential causes including cataracts, head injuries, tumors, aneurysms, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Since it is not continuous I would say most likely it is from the dry eyes. This can cause the multiple images and could be temporary if for some reason it is taking time for your tear ducts to release sufficient tears. Otherwise I would say it is likely a cranial nerve palsy or some other condition causing a temporary disorder with the eyes tracking together properly. You really need to have an opthamologist check this for you to make sure there is nothing really serious going on.
Brain fog-
Mouth will feel dry, words won't come easy, eyes will feel tired.
Brain fog again has a number of causes. Dry mouth can be from medications, potassium deficiencies, dehydration, certain foods or some disorders such as Sjorgen's syndrome. So far nothing really seems to be tying together.
Sluggish bowels-
Usually feel a lot better after going. The brain fog usually happens when Im not going enough.
Looks like you have a good list below. What you are taking will also help with the immune and nervous system, the adrenals, the bowels and nutritional deficiencies. So you are covering a lot of bases, but you need to give it a little time to see how you respond. Keep a log since this can help give clues as you go.
