I am currently
Water Fasting for 30 days, hoping to lose about as many lbs.
I used to be 150lbs, with a body fat % of 28, and I wasnt happy with that, but I am now even less in shape- 180lbs, having gained 30lbs (probably of fat) in a stressful period of my life, eating lots of junk food and doing absolutely no exercise. I imagine my body fat percentage is therefore a lot higher than 28 now, and I find this v. frustrating.
My question is this: if I get back to 150lbs, on the fast, or close to it, is it likely my body fat % will be back to around 28- ie. will the lbs lost all be lbs of body fat, or will I lose muscle too? If I am losing muscle, and am lighter, my body fat % would surely be higher, which terrifies me!
Any info about this would be great, or any stories about changes in body composition that any of you have had whilst fasting.
Its day 4 for me now and Im having a fairly hard time, so any support would be appreciated. I am barely sleeping, so I am tired and emotional, and feeling increasingly down about my body image. I just have to remember that it will hopefully be changing very soon! Cannot wait to be clean and healthy!
