Natural forms are better than synthetic forms. some people cannot tolerate certain naturalform vitamin ( eg. corn based vit C ) and need to go food based ( e.g. tapioca based vit C ) , but most people do not have that problem. For those who are highly sensitive, there is no choice but to go food based , but for those who can tolerate both, I find the difference insignificant. Food based carries with it its own set of problems. Tapioca based vitamin C for example can raise blood sugar. So you may be jumping from one frying pan to another. Those who are sensitive should get professional advice and not trial and error.
For the rest who are ok with both, the key is dosage, not the kind. Like water, its better for your body if you drink more regular carbon filtered water than to take very little of the "best" water ( whether it be by reverse osmosis or otherwise, for example).
There is a lot of marketing on how one form is far superior to others. You need to be very careful. There was a big marketing campaign not too long ago to claim that the reduced form of Co Q10 is better absorbed and thus the price is 5x more. What they don't tell you is that the body will self convert between forms. The key to coQ10 is delivery system and not the form. So there is lot of confusion. We are going off topic but I thought this may be of interest.
