I am not much for salt. Basically I rarely ever salt my food. When I do use salt though the one I found I like the most is the pink salt called Real Salt, which is a mined trace mineral salt. This is also cheap and easy to find in most health food stores.
There are actually several red salts. Some are made by combining salt with red algae. The other is formed by the leaching of red volcanic clays in to the water where the particles are trapped by the salt. The later would have a higher iron content.
I use himalayan salt all the time and real sea salt as well. Raw salt is vital to good health. Raw salt has all the minerals still in it, unlike the white processed junk.
Do a google search on it, there are lots of websites about the health benefits of real salt. There are probably 30 different kinds of real salt worldwide.
But you seem to know about real salt already. Just had to chime in.
