I have a crown that has been on my front tooth for over 30 years. I broke the tooth on the windshield of a car and it had to be capped. The tooth is starting to ache after all these years. This is the original crown and it has held up a LOT longer then I expected. The ache is off and on but it is really starting to concern me. My dentist said a new crown would not take the ache away and I am most likely looking at a root canal. I have had all my amalgams out and I have read enough about root canals to know I don't want one. My only other choice would be a bridge and I really really don't want that. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the toothpowder and if it might be helpful with this problem. I worry about an infection and hoping to calm this thing down. I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions:) Of course :) 'Sorry for the delay
I agree about root canals - I would never have one for any reason...and I'm 'negative' about bridges, too (a crown placed on both teeth around the one to be replaced, and an artificial tooth is implanted; both supporting teeth are weakened by the grinding/placement of their crowns).
If the crown you have is stable and the dentist says replacing it won't change anything, I'd definitely be working diligently on healing the foundational issue...which is likely a deep-seated infection (and/or swelling, inflamming or pressing on the nerves).
The Tootth Powder is fantastic for maintenance and helping to restore gums and prevent infections, But the liquid Tooth Formula is far better at increasing circulation and getting the infection-fighting action into the gums. Oil pulling is VERY effective at pulling deep infection & increasing circulation.
Personally, I wouldn't mess around - I'd do my best to ensure the infection/swelling was relieved before I considered other options - if you can knock out whatever it is, the problem is solved :)
Here's what I'd do:
Internally - 3-6 cloves of raw garlic daily (the strongest and most effective 'antibiotic' on the planet); 4 droppersful of Echinacea tincture 3-4x daily (that's 4-6 ounces if used for 15 days)
Externally - oil pulling every a.m; brush 3x daily with Dr. Schulzes Liquid Tooth Formula (and rub Echinacea into gum around painful tooth)
Healthiest of blessings,
Unyquity
