Generally, I like to only let food be my medicine: that is, taking nettles as tea or infusion, or taking a mineral vinegar that is an infusion as part of a salad dressing...
(note to those interested: Susun Weed has a good recipe for menopausal women)
What is anyone's with experience (maybe Grz's?) thoughts
on encapsulating (vege-caps) nettles or other herbs?
MH (who I respect in lots of ways...)insists herbs are "dead" (and sells a lot of them) yet says the liver picks and chooses what it needs; as if such an organ could make sue of something dead; interesting.
What if one has diminished stomach acid?) How bio-available are herbs in capsule? I'm asking these questions more for my son than I. He's less likely (with age, attitude, stress, ) to take alot of the Moreless stuff; while he likes very much the idea of food as medicine and no supplements; and he likes the drink; and has plenty of faith in what I say from my own experience...But he's on the road a lot, busy a lot, a whole other generation...
and I am wondering about the value of kelp and nettles in caps. And maybe more...
your thoughts?
thanks
