Thank you for pointing that out, ive never seen that before. I guess all i can tell you is what i experienced. I suppose i should tell you how i came to the conclusion of using milk thistle during the day of a flush. Kinda long story so bear with me. It started with doing all the reading i could find on milk thistle and different ways to prepare it. So i read one way(the way above) and thought i would try it. So i made the tea and i felt an almost euphoric feeling when i drank the tea, so i started experimenting on my family members who have a lot of health problems too (good guinea pigs :-) I gave it to my brother who has done a lot of drugs, both recreational and pharmaceutical drugs, and he said it was almost like taking a vicodin but without the side effects. So one day i took a strong dose and was kinda stretching my back and i felt my spine start shifting into place, keep in mind my back is always really tight and doesnt want to crack. Then i started to think about the relaxing effect that it had on my body. It was evident that my spine was supper relaxed, and my emotions were super relaxed. Then i started to think about the gallbladder and one important part of the strategy for flushing is to get the bile duct to relax which is why the
Epsom Salts work good. So i thought it couldnt hurt to make this tea and drink it throughout the day during the flush and so thats what i did, and it seemed to make a big difference as to how many stones came out. So thats what i do on the day of a flush. As far as having the negative side effects i dont have them. I do remember a long time ago, long before i discovered this tea i tried milk thistle in a capsule form and i didnt seem to do good on it. I cant remember the particular reaction but i just remember that i didnt feel that great and i defiantly didnt feel the uphoria. I should tell you that i have given this to to a lot of people and the majority of them feel some sort of positive affect, but there are some that just feel calmer. Like my mom says that when she drinks it, it calms her like drinking a beer(no buzz though). So not everyone gets the same euphoria feeling. I do acupuncture on people and after theyre done i adjust their spine and i find that the adjustments go much much better if they drink milk thistle one half hour before the adjustment.
I dont know why i had such a difference in reactions to the capsuled herb as compared to the tea. The only thing that i can think of is when you cook things it slightly changes things, and i think in this case it was for the better, for me anyways. I know people who get great results with encapsulated milk thistle and i also know people who have had negative effects with it.
I should also add that since the above recipe, i have changed it. I gave the simple form because i didnt want to confuse people or make it too complicated. But my latest changes is i grind a bunch at a time, maybe 2 cups full of seeds in a coffee grinder, and i put it in a jar and i add vodka, just enough to cover it(if its 80 proof you can dilute it in half).( the vodka will cook away when you make the tea) the reason for the vodka is that it does a great job at extracting a certain nutrient in milk thistle (silymarin). then i add about one or two tablespoons of lecithin. The lecithin helps the absorption of silymarin. silymarin is magic stuff you're after. So after you combine them, you mix them really good and store it in the refrigerator (use a glass container). The vodka also prevents it from spoiling. Hope that helps : ) shalom
