I also had my first sinus infection only two months after Mirena insertion, and ever since then it's been a battle to keep my sinuses healthy. I use a neti pot once a day, and a saline rinse when I'm not able to boil water or don't have time. As I'm sure you know, it's extremely annoying to have to worry about these smaller health issues on top of all the other problems Mirena threw our way! If only we had all connected the dots earlier!
I spent the day googling "progesterone" and "dizzy", and am pretty sure the cream is what's causing my problems. The women who had side effects from bioidentical cream seem to know exactly what I'm going through. Dizziness, exhaustion, a "far away" disconnected feeling, almost like being drunk or something. Waking up in the middle of the night with the room spinning. Really scary.
I'm still going to go through a parasite
test for peace of mind, but think my original hesitance to get started on progesterone cream was probably a good impulse, even though the cream did help for a couple of months.
Good luck! I'm hoping that by 2011 we'll both be feeling so much better, and be off these boards!
