Salt is great for killing off the microbes, but I am not sure if it softens up stones. It's the malic acid, the Gold Coin Grass and chanca piedra that work on the stones.

I wish you well, and that you don't have any more stones. I say always be ready for the element of surprise when it comes to liver stones. I had 3 flushes without any stones, then, lo and behold, if another bunch of old, gray stones didn't come tumbling down and want to get flushed out. So be aware that you might still have some stones that take a while to decide to come out. I think Doc experienced this. It may or may not happen to you. That's why I keep up with the maintenance dewormer and know the maintenance liver flushes are important.
