When I read your post I was absolutely heart broken. I go through the same things too-family members covering their noses, even guys that claim they like me doing the exact same thing. Even my best friend used to comment on my smells, and she still does to this day, although she is not as direct. Funny thing is, everyone has their flaws, it's just that some people, like us, have to suffer more. My best friend can comment all she wants about my smell, but if i call her fat (she weighs close to 300 ponds) not only would it be the end of the world, but the end of our friendship too, which brings me to my next point: people will not know what your going through if they are not experiencing the same thing. The only reason why I have not commented on her weight yet is because I know it must be hard for her, because it is hard for me to get rid of the odor and i have yet to find my cure. It's not right that your family is making fun of you; you should pull them aside individually and maybe explain to them how it makes you feel because we all know on this forum that you really cant help it. Fortunately i have not received these awful comments from my fam, they are very understanding, in fact i have explained my situatoion to about 5 or 6 of them and they sympathize with me, but that's obviously not the case for everyone. So you definetly need to speak up. I know it's a hard thing to do, but they are the ones who should make you feel appreciated, not like an outcast. If you want to talk to me about it, i'm free anytime :)
By the way. today i will start eating garlic to see if that helps my odor. My odor varies from meat to vinegar like odor, and my scalp smells like stinky feet, literally. I figure that garlic has something called allicin in it that is supposed to be a very strong antibioutic when taken orally, so hopefully that will kill the bacteria in my body and make the odor and bad breath go away.
