The parasite cleanse is very easy to do and something that should be done at least a couple of times a year. There are some things that are just part of living on the planet these days - fungal candida, parasites, heavy metal and chemical toxicities, etc. Cleansing them periodically is a good idea. I don't advocate going overboard on these, just applying them periodically.
Birth control pills aren't without risks, as these are estrogen-based and estrogen is a strong drug to administer to the body. The past few years have brought forward a lot of research on cancer and estrogen replacement therapies. One researcher has told me that for every year on birth control, the risk for cancer increases by 2%. I think this applies more to people who don't take care of themselves through proper nutrition and preiodc cleansing, than folks who do. Some doctors say it's never safe and should never be done. Probably more of a male than female viewpoint, but it's based on the risks involved.
Wild yam creams and knowing where you are in your cycle are other choices that can be applied. I'm assuming that you're choosing the pill out of not wanting to get pregnant.
