RX for "low thyroid" while pregnant ...

Hi Hv,
My mom told me that she felt "horrible" when she was carrying me (4th of 5 pregnancies) wayyyy back when in 1956 and she was diagnosed with "low thyroid". The OB gave her "something, thyroid medication" that she no longer had to take after the delivery. Could you even begin to speculate what she would have been given? Thanks.

Google AdvertisementThis is a reply to # 1,524,061I would think something along the lines of Armour or Synthroid. But her hypothyroidism could have been simply a temporary condition due to the shift of hormones during pregnancy.
