I recently had a colonoscopy that revealed diverticula. I'm wondering if it is advisable to have enemas and/or colonics becasue of the pressure they might exert on the colon and the diverticula.
Thanks Valerie for your advice. I don't know if it makes any difference, but my colonic therapist uses the Woods gravity system, and the bottle that holds the water is not more than 18 inches above the level of the table, probably less. The pressure is low and the flow is slow, and I actually feel much less pressure than with a bag enema. She puts only; a small amount in at a time. I'm wondering if it would be OK to have colonics with this system.
