Hello Roooth, just came back here after 3 weeks to find you posting and one of my old posts got an RN, what a pleasant surprise, good to see you here.
Anyway, I agree that the first few days are hard, it's where your body persuades you to find food, and then says "OK, no food about, lets give them a break from hunger and lets start metabolising the fat cells", effectively putting the faster on reduced "battery power".
However, just like a laptop when it's unplugged from the mains, everything works more slowly and efficiently. You won't have great amounts of energy.
My personal vierw is that you should plan and prepare for a fast, and make it so that you have little work to do.
I have just jacked in a job doing hard physical work, and plan to go to Ecuador soon, for a long period. I may do a fast there, in a natural environment. On the other hand I would like to sample the Ecuadorian food, so not sure yet.
