I got a headache after eating Rejuvenative Foods sauerkraut. It tasted great, so it wasn't the kraut, but I'm wondering if it was just so rich in cultures that I had a die-off response? Anybody else experience this? Maybe I need to start with very small amounts. I ate about 1/3 of a jar when I got the headache.
Sauer is full of probiotics and probiotics cause die-off in too great an amount. Reducing the quantity is a good option. Taking more antioxydants minerals is another option (ex. zinc, selenium, manganese).
Thank you for your responses. Do you think if I took smaller amounts, but still more than once a day it would help rebuild the "good guys" in my gut quickly and lower the likelihood of a die off reaction?
