Hi Dilligaf,
My husband had sinus surgery over a decade ago. I can't remember exactly what kind of sinus surgery or if they even gave us a name back then. He had chronic sinus infections, and his CAT scan revealed he had a deviated septum. They broke then straightened his septum, then removed some more inflamed tissue there. He never seemed to get better. Lots of pain after the surgery. I know his doctor kept telling him to irrigate with salt water, which he did faithfully. When we took him in for his checkup a week later, the doctor found out he had contracted a staph infection within his sinuses. The doctor had him come in every couple of days to have his sinuses sucked out. He felts so much better when all the infection would get sucked out. He was on
Antibiotics for 3 months before he was able to kick the staph infection out. Lots of infection sucking procedures at the doc's office. Make sure his doc checks him for staph. We know now that sinus infection are usually caused by fungi, and that was probably his problem to begin with. Wish we had treated him with oregano oil instead of having the surgery, but you can't change the past. If your husband should have staph you might want to read up on bee propolis for fighting infection. It is great stuff. Could help his
Antibiotics kick the infection out of his head. They are sure a hard thing to get rid of. Good luck to you guys. Hope he gets feeling better soon!
