Hv, I think everyone is a little fatigued with the ML spammers lately, is just unfortunate that this question was asked at this time. Its always polite to give a little information about yourself, before you go questioning others, or at least, a reason why you would ask such a question. Otherwise it just comes across as a demand, which is bound to get peoples backs up, just as this persons question has.
If a person is really looking for the truth in a forum, or information that is credible and trustworthy, the contents of the posts would mean more than the forum name. (After all you have to call it something).
I would not have even minded as much if this person had asked the same thing of the other forum owners. To single me out though just sends up red flags.
I will answer your questions you have for me.
I am not targeting you. I see that your forum is moving up in popularity and the forum name jumps out. I read the subtitle of the forum and it immediately raised the question as why does this forum owner feel they can explain the myths and facts of alternative medicine and why does the forum owner feel that they have the truth. To me those are huge statements! If you saw that on another forum or website, wouldnt you want to know why they feel this way?
The way I see it the title of the forum is irrelevant. It is the content that needs to be questioned. When I see people making ridiculous claims such as the lymphatic system being acidic, that all disease is from acidity or parasites or an unhealthy colon, or about a black tarry substance building up in the intestines, or so called "gallstones" larger than the bile ducts miraculously passing through the ducts after ingesting olive oil and citric acid............, these are what should be verified.
The other forums do not have these statements. They simply have ask _____. So its their theory on things.
Usually a hypothesis of these things, or in some cases just totally ridiculous, unproven and unprovable, claims.
I havent had to specifically ask the other forum owners because i was able to learn basically what there background was by following their forum. Whether it be formal education, old books, self education, mentors, clinical experience, trial and error, etc.
OK, let's see what you have learned this way. Fill us in on Moreless' background since you have read so many of this posts. Let's see how accurate your hypothesis about figuring people out this way is.
You make it seem like verifying information is easy. I dont trust most medical journals so i dont use them. There is a contradictory theory on nearly everything in the healthcare world. For example fruitarian diet vs primal diet; high cholesterol vs low cholesterol; alkaline body vs acidic body; They all seem to have data to backup their claims. So its very hard to verify claims. It seems personal experience is best.
That's why you should not try to learn from sales sites. If you learn the basics of how the body works and maybe some basic chemistry then it is pretty easy to use some common sense and weed through the fact from fiction. This site even gives you a jump start so you can easily verify the information. It is not like you have to start from scratch. And it is not that hard to verify most facts regardless. For example try finding proof that the lymphatic system is acidic in disease. I can tell you right now that you are not going to find it because the lymphatic sytstem is kept slightly more alkaline than the blood. Try to find proof that nitrogen is a protein or that the more hydrogen a substance has the more acidic it is. Or that acids decay tissues in to a puddle of goo. Again I can guarantee you that you will not find evidence to any of these because none of them are true. So you should be questioning the statements and the person who repeatedly makes them, not the title of a forum. If you think about it I could have called this forum "?" and it would not mean a thing because in the long run it is still the CONTENT of the forum that you will be reading and learning from if you choose. So whether it be this formum, or Barefoot, or Moreless, or whatever you should still verify the content before following any advice.
To keep your background private in fear that others will use it against you is a poor excuse. let them if they choose. It shouldnt take away from your messages, especially if it is truth.
It's not a poor excuse at all. You are not the one that has been repeatedly attacked and lied about by a number of lunatics on these boards. It is pretty easy to say the fire is not hot when you are not the one standing in the flames!!!
Yes healing does involve personal responsibility.
So take responsibility and learn how the body works and some basic chemistry so you can verify what is being said on any CZ board or on your research sites. Simple!!!
What I will say is that I have been at this for the majority of my life and with what I do I have to know science, how the body works, about many herbs and supplements. So I spend a great deal of time doing real research, not from sales sites or from sites making up their own personal science and medicine as they go along.
Again, it really is not that hard to do real research. So that is the only poor excuse I have seen. In all the time you have spent here debating everyone just think of how much of the information on this forum you could have verified. You may want to start by going to a bookstore and getting a basic anatomy and physiology book. Understanding the basics of how the human body works will take you so far in verifying ANYONE'S claims.
I am glad you came forward. People need to be aware of how dangerous drinking calcium hydroxide is. There is a good reason for those warning labels on the bag. Moreless tries to justify it by claiming that they add the lemon juice converting it in to calcium citrate. This is very misleading since unless someone has pH meter (another expensive item along with the refractometer) to know how much lemon juice to add then they have no idea if there is any caustic hydroxide left. And if the neutralize all the calcium hydroxide it is no longer alkaline. So it is a lose-lose situation any way one wishes to look at it.
At least you were smart enough to figure it out and quit before you really messed yourself up. There are still a lot of brainwashed individuals still following him. Hopefully they will wake up before it is too late as well.
And thanks again for coming forward. Everyone needs to read your story.
I will. I want to find the other thread though where the person mentioned their friend ending up in the hospital with alkalosis. It would be better to do the thread of multiple examples to really drive home the fact of how dangerous the advice is.
