I don't think Mountain Rose Herbs sells tinctures. At least when I did a search within their website I couldn't find any.
Did you actually see tinctures for sale on that website?
Edit: I just found where they have made videos on YouTube showing how to make a tincture. This is an incredible find for those of us who want to learn. Thanks for asking this question, it made me go on a search LOL.
Edit Again: Just wanted to say that Uny macerates the mixture in the VitaMix after 3 days then puts it all back in the jar. In this video they don't do that, but I'd go with Uny's way.
This is my last Edit I promise LOL. I did go back and look and found the tinctures, I don't know why they didn't come up when I put "tinctures" in their search box. Anyway, I haven't used MR tinctures but they just can't be any better than Uny's so I'm sticking with hers plus I'm going to do some of my own eventually.
LOL, you must have been typing your post as I was editing mine. I did find them after I went back and looked at everything under the product header. Still, I don't know why they didn't come up when I searched for "tinctures." Strange.
I would have to defer to Uny on the quality of their tinctures since I haven't used them, don't know if Uny has either. I don't know why they would have a different brand name if they made them themselves with their organic herbs they sell. The very fact that the tinctures are another brand name would make me wonder. I'd check to see if they made them or if they purchased them somewhere else.
I have not tried their products, so I have no idea of their quality, but I did find something interesting I didn't think of on the company page:
"Eclectic chooses to utilize alcohol for their extracts that is made with certified organic grapes. The advantages of organic alcohol over conventional grain alcohol are; Grape alcohol is hypo-allergenic. Studies have shown that corn alcohol passes the allergens of corn to the spirit that is derived from corn. By using grape alcohol Eclectic is able to bypass any corn allergy problems which may be aggravating the health condition."
"Corn is also one of the most sprayed crops in the US. Each year millions of pounds herbicide and pesticides are sprayed on corn crops. We feel by using certified organic grapes for our alcohol we are offering the consumer a truly organic product as well as an environmentally sound product."
