True. This is not a debate forum Glass Goblet, but I think its only fair to point out that CR is not starvation........

This is not a theory, but something that actually works in practice, and has done so for the better part of a century and more in the thousands upon thousands of people who have adopted this way of life.
I think you will find that the NH movement is not a movement where people follow it blindly, but is an ever-changing and adaptable philosophy/Science of living that adheres to the same basic principles of living, according to Natural Law that was adopted by its founders from the mid 1800's to the present day.
Yes. Tribes are thin because they do not or did not have access to the foods that we do, and where the reason they are thin or of normal weight is because of their natural diets. They do not need to count calories.
Calorie counting is most definitely tedious; you only have to ask anyone who has been on a calorie-counting diet to know this.
CC will work in losing weight, but only while this is adhered to. This is why all diets work and where they ultimately fail once a "normal" diet is resumed. It is mostly a diet of deprivation and denial.
The good thing about not having to CC on a high-water-content-mostly raw diet that is properly combined, is that you are allowed to eat more and satisfy hunger/appetite, but still achieve an ideal weight for your body-frame/size.
Your comment..........
#1. "Low fat dieting can cause gallstones. It has been shown".
Then I would like you to show me the references in support of that statement.
#2.
Science is just a theory and everyone has one.
Not all
Science is theory, much of it is fact.
Your definition of starvation is erroneous.
The absolute definition of fasting and starvation is......
"Fasting begins with the omission of the first meal and ends with the return of natural hunger. Starvation begins with the return of hunger and terminates in death. Fasting is distinctly beneficial; starvation is distinctly harmful".

The reduction in the rate of metabolism on a water-only fast is a method employed by the body in conserving food reserves; this is to prolong life for as long as possible and in the prevention of actual starvation.
I do think you are missing the point here, which is certain LC diets do meet nutritional needs, whether of macronutrients or micronutrients, because it can be nutrient-dense.
A high calorie diet on the other hand can easily mean gaining excess weight but can be devoid of the nutrition that the body needs, and results in starvation; "supersize me" was a prime example of this, where this person lived exclusively on McDonalds for a month and suffered the consequences of nutritional deficit.
#3. Fat burning is not starvation. Eating under 1000 calories is.
This first part is true. Eating under 1000 calories per day of highly nutritious foods means that you will lose weight, but not starvation.
If the amount of calories taken in by the diet is lower than the amount of calories expended in day to day activities, then you will lose weight on a CR and reducing diet.............this is not what you loosely refer to as starvation.
At the end of the day, if you are neither losing or gaining weight, then your calorie intake/expenditure is ideal, therefore there is no need to count the calories.
If you lose weight, then your calorie intake is insufficient for the calories expended.
If you gain weight, then calorie intake exceeds expenditure.
A simple and reliable method without the need to count any Calories.
Calories are secondary to optimum nutrition: the most important element for the functioning of the body.
