I am using this post as a way of sorting out what I am going to do over the next couple of weeks until I see the holistic dentist.
My health has been terrible for nearly a year now and in March I started yeastfree diet and took yeastraiders, then candex, then candigest and then separate stuff: caprylic, echinacea, ginger root and pau darco. (I am still taking candigest and the separate stuff.) Initially there was improvement (after herxing a bit) but then improvement tailed off and I started getting worse again.
About a month ago I started to get my 13
Amalgams removed.
but my health deteriorated after the
Amalgams started coming out: my walking got a lot worse, I had terrible black depressions and my insomnia also got worse. My knees (which have been the worst affected since this started in September) also got much worse. I persevered with the next removals (July 10) when two quite bad ones were done. He wasnt a holistic dentist and didnt use rubber dams or air: just suction. Two days later everything went ballistic and my temperature rose to goodness knows what. I have been unable to sweat for ages and had to use damp cloths. I had terrible localised headaches and was so nauseous I could hardly touch water let alone food. BUT on that first high temp day when I just sat shivering all day the knees got more and more swollen. Towards evening the temp dropped back (My normal temp is way below 97) and the knees also went down and for the rest of the week I was walking better than for months on end despite feeling horrible in every other way. Each bout of fever seemed to ease the arthritis.
After a few days temp reverted to normal and my appetite came back a bit but my knees returned to their arthritic painful selves.
Someone suggested that this indicated the presence of a bacteria (namely lyme) which I had considered before but dismissed. With this in mind I was about to start a bout of anti-biotics to see if it really is lyme. Today though I have been reading about the connection between mercury and candida and wondering if the fever from the mercury toxicity might have killed the yeast rather than anything else. The question then is: is yeast killed by high temperatures? Does anyone know? Any thoughts?
I'm not going to start anti-biotics until after the next dental visit (holistic this time.)
