hm, yes--I was mainly aware of it as an anti-parasite thing...
and something added to flours and grains to kill pests. Good too for plants: maybe. But probably BSM, ES and various weak green teas and compost teasn are far better.
What I wonder is how the body can really *metabolize* the silica, for lack of a better word. some say that when it is mixed with liquid it transforms into a bioavailable form.
Lots of people are apparently drinking a T a day in their juice or water and having all kinds of good results. People it seems always want to think there is one master mineral, and in this case, silica is thought of as more needed than calcium.
Different subject:
grapefruit trees.
I have one outside about three years old, if I recally, and it has been putting out leaves and thorns like crazy since I gave it a drink of green tea. Can you suggest what it might like in order to flower. This far, only leaves. I'm really proud of it though, since I grew it from a seed.
Do you need two to flower?
thanks
