Unhealthy Tomato Bed

I have one tomato bed that apparently has Early Blight. I know I should probably allow a good 2 years land sabbath and let the microrganisms have a chance to take care of the problem but I thought I would ask if there is anything else I can do.
The other bed of tomatoes are not having any problems. We planted them a bit later. I was wondering if using Diatomaceous Earth was of any help in this area.

Answer: Blight may come from too much Nitrogen in relationship to the needed Alkaline Minerals!
You may try putting some bonemeal powder around these tomatoes on the dirt and watering it in with some water that has some BSM diluted in the water.
Like one Tablespoonfull of BSM/gallon water.

Actually at first I thought I put too much bonemeal on the dirt. I added it twice during its growing period. When those bright yellow/gold leaves started showing up, I wasn't sure what to think. This is an older bed that we had not used in a few years. The other bed with the healthy tomatoes is the first time it has ever been used. I'm hoping for better results with it like I did with my excellent brix onions.

Answer: If you have already applied bonemeal before, then just adding the water with BSM may help?
Were they mulched?
If it is some old garden dirt that lacks the needed soil life, this may be Why the problem!

This is a reply to # 1,450,994Yes, it seems to be a lifeless older raised bed that has hay mulch. I don't smell sweet dirt in it at all. Can it be so lifeless that adding BSM will not help?
The only time I remember it being a great bed was the very first time I used it. (about 5 years ago) It was full of earthworms but it did have a few pests as I recall, so it must have had too much nitrogen.
So the answer is yes, to watering with diluted BSM everytime?

Answer: Yes, water with the BSM and this should help feed soil life!
During the year of rest it is best to just let the mulch rot into the soil and as weeds grow work these into the soil each month before they go to seed!
