That must be frustrating that you are unable to do a complete fast, but on the bright side: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-) ...if you've lost 90
lbs. doing what you described, you've certainly figured out your body and are obviously doing something right! :-)
If attempts to fast result in a binge, then I would either stop *trying or possibly see out the consultation of an alternative health practitioner. *I don't mean in the sense of "quitting"... it all depends on your reason for fasting. Mine is weight loss/maintenance (via [hopefully] resetting my hunger/appetite to prevent overeating). I have a wicked high metabolism, luckily, and can maintain my weight at 2000 calories if I'm totally sedentary! Unfortunately, along with my wicked high metabolism, I've been given a wicked high appetite and consume 5500-7000 calories/day. In other words, if your primary reason for fasting is weight loss/maintenance, it sounds like you've figured out a system that works very well for you; if you want to fast for other health benefits, definitely continue to probe for solutions.
With that being said, one thing you may try is fruit + protein. I was 100% raw for 6 months straight and I lived on Sun Warrior's protein powder. It's 100% raw and tasted AMAZING after a day! I'd mix a piece of fruit (like 1 apple) with 1.5 servings of protein powder (~20 grams) and I was fine (like you, with just fruit, I would get hypoglyecmic as well!!!); so adding the protein may really help you.
