Dr Lam over the last 12 months i have been tested for Cushings due to high test results for cortisol in urine. test began due to weight gain of 65lbs within 3-5 months.
my cortisol levels were 59, 63 (high range was 50)
DHEA sulfate result:24
Vitamin d-13.2
do you have any ideas on what is going on?
the endo i am seeing said the DHEA level was nothing to worry about, except i am exhausted all the time and have no motivation-feel like i am living a night mare.
I have never weighed more then 120lbs except when I was pregnant and I topped at 155lbs on delivery day.
I am walking 2.5 miles a day but the weight is not coming off. it did not get on by eating it appeared after I had 2 steroid injections in my lower back for a herniated disk resulting from an accident.
I am devestated and have found no answers from anyone as to what is going on meanwhile i am blowing up like a balloon, have swollen legs,a hump on my neck,a fat stomach, abdomen and upper thigh area,my chest has grown 2 sizes, I feel like I am dying. I had taken phentermine in the past when I had weight gains that seemed uncooperative to typical excercise increase and more stringent dieting that always helped before but now the phentermine has no affect whatsoever and in fact makes me very tired.please help me if you can.My endo seems to think I am fine and is unwilling to try and treat me for HYPO even though my body temp is averaging about 97.2 am and drops as low as 95.5 at times.
What is wrong with me???????
