I'm 1/6 of the way through a 30 day juice fast, preceded by a 5 day cleanse... I'm doing daily warm water enemas
at this point. I've read that you really need to retain the water for 15 minutes for it to get far enough through your intestines.
Because I'm spending tons on organic veggies, I'm not really in the market for a colonic.
So the last few times, as I've gotten better at retaining, I'm up to about 7 minutes max. But what happens is I end up releasing most of it, then many hours later, the last little bit of liquid comes out.
Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone know if the retention emema of 15 minutes is something good to shoot for?
I haven't been able to do much position switching while retaining, I'm mostly forehead on a yoga block, butt up in the air. I've read that going on your left and right sides and rubbing your stomach will help. But I don't have that kind of control yet.
Thoughts? Comments? You can check out my experience on the fast in the blog forum. Don't be annoyed, I'm crossposting this in Bowel Cleanse
as well to try to get some answers before I go to it again today.
