Experts say this, but some people don't do well with all that water. I personally can't go comfortably beyond 2 quarts a day, and don't intend to abuse my body, be it for the sake of hydration. I did it for a long period in the past, and it really didn't feel like the right thing.
But Gibby, you're still in elimination mode, the cleanse is still active for a while in the system. At least 2 quarts, I think you should find the way to drink them. Something I do is I drink a whole quart of water first thing in the morning, i actually drink zeta water (with potassium citrate added) but that doens't make that big a difference. If your bowels are slow, drink that water a bit faster, like within 5-10 minutes, and you'll see, in another 5 minutes you've gone to the bathroom, it stimulates peristalsis in a very gentle and natural way.
Another thing, I think drinking hot-warm water is a very good idea. I make very weak tisanes, I don't like them strong, and I put them in a thermos and drink throughout the day, you can also take them at work. An all time favorite, and very easy, is chamomille and ginger, a few pieces of ginger and a bag of chamomille in a full thermos.
