My mom is getting off prednisone herself too for polymyalgia reumatica.  GREAT! Symptoms are coming back as she is almost off the steroid. That's what we would expect :( She is in her 80's and actually doing very well but is on a number of meds for different things,
B.P. medication, blood thining medication, heart medication ect.
I want to know how I can help her since she is asking me. I know the basics I'm just not sure she will undertake a serious cleanse/fast.
I was wondering what else you would suggest besides maybe colon cleansing, juicing, ect . . .There's a whole LOT we can do herbally that will may be of great benefit - what I'd need to know is just what all she's willing/able to do; and what's her current med list?; and is she willing to do the herbal 'switcheroo' on her heart/bp meds?  We can bandaid her symptoms with herbs, just the same as with pharmaceuticals.  And as we lose the influence of the pharmaceuticals, we can actually HEAL the heart/bp issues.  As far as the polymyalgia rheumatica - yep, we can get her some relief AND some healing.  The only 'complication' at this point, is that god-forsaken pharmaceutical blood thinner.  If she's willing to wean off of that (using red clover & ginkgo biloba tinctures), then it's likely the heart/bp meds will be easy to get off of (with hawthorn, cayenne & garlic, basically).  These herbs are a win-win-win-win-win situation.  Ginkgo thins the blood, increases circulation to the head/extremities, restores memory and assists in removing arterial plaque; red clover also slightly thins the blood and the garlic/clover combo will control bp (garlic also strengthens the heart, removes arterial plaque, and has a myriad of other benefits); hawthorn (taken over time) will HEAL & restore and heart muscle...and cayenne WILL control bp, regulate circulation and help heal the heart.  So if she's willing to do the 'switcheroo', she can be off the meds :)

Of course, Superfood, juicing (as much as possible) and colon cleansing are 'baseline'.  For the rheumatica we'd start with a 5 day kidney cleanse so we could do a couple of "get out the hardening/stiffening/pain causing hard mineral' flushes (an easy three day process here: http://healingtools.tripod.com/kidstone.html ) while adding the Herbal Calcium and BF&C formulas.  (It's safest to start with 5 day kidney cleanse before loosening up mineral/calcium deposits to flow through the kidneys) - even though the flush (above) will dissolve kidney stones.  I just feel it's safer/wiser to do a 5 day cleanse before (and maybe after).

For pain relief and deep tissue healing? The Deep Tissue Repair Oil - AND White Willow bark capsules (strictly for pain relief - 'been used successfully for muscle/joint pain - and the whole/non-standardized herb does not damage the stomach and likely doesn't thin the blood).  I have had VERY bad experiences with the White Willow Bark from Mountain Rose (it gave me EXCRUCIATING headaches....grrrr) (Pacific Botanicals doesn't sell powdered - I did the best to grind it in the Vitamix and encapsulize if for my mom's osteoarthritis, but I don't  sell capsules).  Starwest has it (wildcrafted only), but I've never sampled theirs.  3-4 White Willow Bark capsules daily will go a LONG way in lessening/eliminating the pain (it takes several hours for White Willow to 'kick in', but once it does, if you keep a stable dose coming, it's simply phenomenal for joint/muscle pain).

What say you? Chat with her and get back to me for more information to give her, or is she willing to do whatever you tell her.  Either way, let me know about the 'more details' and meds, and we'll take it from there :)

p.s. I have 2 friends that are going to start the cleanse one can only do incriments since thats what her funds allow the other I believe is doing the whole thing. Neither have serious health problems they just want to cleanse and feel the best they can. I know they will want to be ordering from you. They will get some stuff from me like superfood and colon cleanse.
