I think NUCCA is pretty good. It has helped me.
I went to a NUCCA chiro a few times back in December and January and I was surprised at how light the technique is. After the first visit, I was thinking "Do I really want to be paying money for this?" because it was so minimal, but I saw improvement after 1 session. Among (many) other things, I have a slant in my shoulders, leaning to the right with my head leaning to the left, because of a misaligned atlas/axis, and the slant was almost completely gone even after the first visit.
Of course it came back after a little while, due to it being thrown off for years, but it was improving after each visit. I haven't been to the chiro since January because money/work is hard to come by these days, but when that changes I plan on going back.
The only thing in particular that I didn't like about NUCCA is the x-rays, especially since I've already been blasted by a lifetime's worth of radiation in the past 2 years. There is a plus to being able to actually see the improvement in the bones, however.
As with any profession, you have to find a chiro who believes in what he does and is good at it. The chiro I was going to got into NUCCA because he had scoliosis and NUCCA helped greatly improve his spine. He was able to avoid surgery because of it.
Since we're on the topic - Doc, what is your opinion on chiropractic as far as relieving pressure/compression on the vertebral arteries?
