I had the Mirena placed last May (2008). I noticed that I had awful cramps on it but things were okay at first. Then I got really bad PMS (PMDD like symptoms) and I was having constant problems with my skin. I gained a bit of weight and I started having two light (but very painful) periods a month and recurring yeast infections. I had my mirena removed about 17 days ago, which lead to some bleeding for a few days. I immediately stared taking YAZ birth control, which I had been on before. After I got the mirena out I felt really sleepy and headachey (sometimes sick to my stomach, but these things may be from the new pill as well). About 10 days after I had the mirena out, my fever went away! However, at about 14 days after I had the mirena out, my fever returned and I cannot imagine what else would be causing this. I have had lots of blood tests done (all fine), I don't have a kidney or bladder infection, and I had an ultrasound of my uterus (also fine). Has anyone had this issue with the fever? If so, when did it finally go away and did any supplements help?
