I pity the fool who didn't see Dylan years ago. Unless they like to go listen to someone who sounds like they are gargling on glass. He always gets incredible reviews when he puts out records these days, but you wonder if no one has ever heard Blonde on Blonde or Blood on the Tracks. Strictly for the hardcores and the newbies who want to say they saw him before he died.
its never a total bust, but he is almost carried out on stage sometimes. i thought he was going to pass out at the tbones ball field in bonner springs kansas. the sweat was a steady stream off his nose while he remained hunkered over his keyboard. willie nelson was with him and in great shape. but that was four years ago. i hear willie might be down for the count now.
he is still putting out great records. Live he is hit or miss. He's always been pretty much hit or miss live. I saw him 3 times. The best was with Tom Petty and Heartbreakers as his backing band. I thought his last album was brilliant. New one coming out end of this month.
