Magnesium DOES seem to have a good effect on me. When I'm down or anxious I have some of my magnesium drink and it definitely takes me out of my negative mood.
In addition to being critical for the cardiovascular system, Magnesium takes from calcium which is especially helpful as you get older. Of course many people get calcification in their veins that leads to strokes, heart attacks etc. And it also makes the body (and mind) stiffer and less flexible.
