Good posts all you folks - Thank you.
The colon needs three things in working order to be healthy.
1. The musculature needs to be tone. This is usually applicable to those folks with the big bellies or people that have been carrying around an extra 20-30 pounds for years. It usually doesn't apply to the skinny folks.
2. The colon walls must be clean of accumulated debris. This is actually what causes the distended belly.
3. The right germs must be present. Due to the high use of antibiotics the good germs in the colon tend to get wiped out and need to be replaced. Pineapple, oranges and grapes are the best natural way to re-seed the colon but some good probiotics are usually necessary.
Cleaning the colon is literally taking the necessary products that disolve the accumulated debris off the colon wall and sweep it away. Schulzes Formula II is the best I've seen at doing this. But it can be a problem too. So if you can't take it you're not alone.
Now, if you're real "slight" and "fragile" chances are you don't need a lot of work on your colon. You need the antiparasite protocols and to get your liver fully functional. Then the colon ceases to be a problem.
A good substitude I have found for the sweeping action desired for the colon is regular ole popcorn. There are some who say the husks of the popcorn aren't good but I find it and excellent way to keep the colon swept clean. And it seems to draw the nasties out of the liver and of course hangs onto them so you don't reabsorb them. Works for me.
