>> "For example, Magnesium Chloride instead of epsom salts. What about a different form of Calcium, like Carbonate or Citrate." <<
no...they do not react the same way and complex in the drink the same way... I would stay away from mag chloride... I am aware of Mag oil and such... but this is a scam IMO when epsom salts are so much cheaper (I am not stating it does not work) and you get the benefit of the sulfate as well which is needed for so many things like opening up your elimination channels, protein/enzyme synthesis, vitamin production and joint repair/maintenance.
>> "This drink certainly seems to use the cheapest minerals but are they the best for one's system?" <<
In the drink they are... every part of this drink but the epsom salts goes back thousands of years... and the epsom salts 3 or 400.
>> "And, is it true that Calcium Supplementation is best served with food toward the goal of no-kidney-stones?" <<
Never heard that... where did you read it? Why are you worried about it... do a search in this forum for kidney stones...
>> "These are just some questions that I would like to see addressed. I believe that with the poor absorbability of Magnesium, that Mag baths i.e. MgCl may be better for replenishing and building Mag levels that actual drinks? What is anyone's opinion on these questions please?" <<
These questions and more have been addressed in this forum and the debate forum ad nauseum over the years... do a search. The rest I have addressed. If you want to know the details... search... no time to do it for you.
>> "I personally want to have a standard drink on hand but am not convinced that the standard Moreless formula is the best choice of ingredients..." <<
Then do not do it and choose to do your own thing... if you feel better over time and stay that way, great... if not... you are obviously doing something wrong.
I am sure you would be okay with the BSM and Lemon in water... even just that will help immensely and the use (usually honey instead of BSM) goes back pre-Egyptian to at least ancient Sumeria.
