I guess everyone is different. But I have been eating the "earth balance" non dairy soy butter for several years
on the candida diet with no problems. It IS bad IF you have thyroid problems but I do not. I have read that its a great source of ALA omega 3. Its gluten free, lactose free, vegan, and non GMO. Its a great source of fat and without it I would be a 120 pound man. I have it every other day with brown rice cakes and I heard about it from another forum member on this forum!
According to my naturopath and the container..soy contains zinc, magnesium, iron and calcium, along with isoflavones wich have antioxidant properties. And contains 9 amino acids. On top of this it keeps your stomach from growling all the time. Sorry to disagree with some of you and the butter may be different than other soy products but my naturopath told me its ok in moderation on this diet and it works for me. It does give you a bit of gas however!
