Your question: The reason I ask this question is because I'm trying to find the deception in the church.
If man is teaching in the churches that one must believe first and then be filled with the Holy Spirit, then seems backwards to what you are saying.
Not too much is discussed as far as people who have never had the opportunity to know Jesus and what shall be the outcome of their eternal life. Most in my church, leave that up to God to decide. If they were to focus more on the fruit of the Spirit in people then that would clear some things up for them and open the door to more thought.
But if someone has had first hand knowledge of Jesus, like His disciples or came to know Him through the bible or word of mouth...to deny the Holy Spirit within Him would to me be the blasphemy. When one does not have enough of the fruit of the Spirit to discern the power and holiness in Him, then they deny Him. Man can blaspheme Jesus the man, but not the Holy Spirit that is within Him. Just like the men in the bible who though he had demons in Him because He was casting out demons from people. They blasphemed the workings of the Holy Spirit because they could not recognise it.
Is that because they did not have the fruit of the Spirit in them or because they did not believe?
Answer: I do --NOT-- have all the answers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, I believe when God tells us that if we may Live by and in the Fruits of the Spirit, that then we will --NOT-- be Judged by the Law, which --NO-- man can be Saved by !
It is enough for me to know the Fruits of the Spirit shall place me in God's Kingdom if I shall Endure unto the End !
The Rest of the part where folks want to argue about this Doctrine or that Doctrine or they think this is what God and or Jesus said etc, etc, is a Big Waste of time in my book !
Live by the K.I.S.S. idea, which God is Very Simple if we will just admit to it !
Love others as ourself, which is Very Hard for most folks to accomplish when they are thinking about "I" "ME" "I" "ME" !
Cause and Effect !
As usual not everything may be as it may 1st seem to be !

This is a reply to # 1,359,708You obviously don't really understand what is in the Bible, thus your comment. If you did you would see that the Word of God is so profound that it is applicable in ALL situations. It is not "just a book."
Keep seeking, as there is always something to learn beyond what you already know or think you know.

Let me ask you to consider "IF" the Holy Spirit is as you suggest, then "WHY" would God mention that he will give us the Holy Spirit if we but ask???????????????????
WHY would we need to ask and wait for God to Give us the Holy Spirit if we already have the Holy Spirit?????????????

This is WHY so many folks may get themself into trouble because of --ASS U ME-- ing things that just may not be so as such?
If our belief's cause us to not be able to answer and or agree with --ALL-- of God's word, then maybe we also are lacking in the Total Truth?

The words I used did not convey my thoughts well....
When "gods words" flows through me. The crows quickly come and start picking at these seeds. The crows are thoughts of self importance. Thoughts of OH that was your words" Look at you.. Blah blah blah.... The BS of the babbler - or you call it the devil... So they don't only eat the words but contaminate them turning them to POISON for my spirit... Poison? what? what are you talking about... The "I" that I struggle with. The "I" that had protected me all my life (so stupid I thinks). What is this "I" and why is there more then one "I".... I don't know... LOL
All I know is I must stay grounded or as you say "humble". If not I lose what little I have.... Then again I don't lose anything but I don't get any more. Like a disobedient child being punished... That is being cut off??? well connection to the source... Or you would call god....
My god is the Christian god and the Jewish god and the American Indian god and ...............
Just each group keeps putting god into a box. Only learning from what they see in that box. only growing into what they can see..... blinded by their box believing that that is all there is.....

And this AMEN.... OK this is what it means to me and why I use this word.
I say amen as an expression of reverence. As admitting that the word is living and thankful for it. Admitting that IT IS NOT ME - FIGHTING in my mind not to be puffed up. I keep saying I am a A** Hole. In human terms I am a very kind easy and get along with slow to anger.... But as the light shins on me and I can see more clearly - standards change. I see I only care for myself. and on and on.... But then I see that there is more..... If I choose to allow it - he changes "WHO I AM" but it is ever so slowly... why? because of the pain of the truth. To see myself as I really am. But then again there is an "I" that is just perfect. he is a small child. It would seem he is that which I was before I was born AND shall be once I leave this planet...
Yes this is beyond Christian teaching of just looking into the bible.... But to say that the source that created everything is not your god.... That this Christian god is something different... That is false....
I am but flesh and blood here on earth trying to find my way.... I found a path W/O the bible. This does not cancel the bible out - just that god is bigger then the bible... Putting him in the box only hurts your spiritual growth....

Christian teaching 101
1- saved by grace (they one should think on what they are saved from # Slowly go through the lords prayer what is it really saying.....
2- walk in grace #only by forgiving and not judging including yourself can one walk in grace)
3- Now we walking in grace -we manifest peace - loss of stress - a calm spirit
4- Why when you are reading the bible the very words come alive to you? Because the HOLY SPIRIT is saying LOOK LISTEN and you FEEL it in your soul. This is the MEAT.... THE HS talking to you - bringing the word alive inside you! He has been there and you hear him all the time...
I am saying GOD is the LIVING WORD - TRUTH stands the fires of all words-thoughts thrown against it. You never need to protect it - IT STANDS ON IT"S own. The truth is timeless. It was there before this earth was there - it does not change - it is timeless....
