It's a long hard road. I have this condition except worse. It has been like unraveling a giant mystery here is what I know for sure in my case

Adrenal fatigue for years unchecked

Allergies developed dairy, wheat, seasonal

immune system has gone haywire. Prednisone made most of my hair come back along with other symptoms subside.

100% the best protocol for her will be orthoiodosupplementaion with salt loading and vit c(great to bring the adrenals back) with companion supps...you must read Iodine supplementation forum from head to toe (VWT)
She must switch to raw dairy or no dairy and wheat at all or have her do NAET the entire protocol to eliminate allergies. I had a huge allergy to mold that almost KILLED me...this is important the docs say over and over this alopecia universalis is non life threatening...BS the immune system is unraveling!!!!!
The Iodine eventually will heal the immune system I am 2.5 months in and feel like I am literally waking from the dead!
I can almost guarantee she has history of digestive issues TCM is very beneficial for her as well

I have almost all head hair back but I underwent steroid injections and pred, I really think that can be averted with Iodine and possibly GET HER D levels checked
that is next on my agenda....bet they are very LOW
