the problem with these 'throw a bunch of things at a wall and hope one sticks' protocols is that you have NO IDEA which one worked!! none!

for all we know it was the glutathione and that alone that was responsible for the success of the treatment. we do know that glutathione does in fact detox heavy metals. thats a fact. the rest of that stuff...who knows?

This is correct and I believe Andy said so but its Lyme day today so...
Anyhow the largest burden is the brain and even there eventually with the body burden lifted there will be osmosis and some Hg will come out.
The second largest however is Hg burned into the tissue and organs, ALA is required for this but when ALA does this job it will free more then it can bind. This is why moving up in ALA is so much more difficult than DMSA.

Don`t know the answer to your Free/Bound question and I do not remember it from the book.
I will have another look later tonite.

RE: throwing everything at the wall..yes, it`s not great science, but if your kid was Autistic,
you`d throw everything you had at the wall and let Pubmed figure it out when the dust settled.
