I saw they have one of those solar shower bags with a pressure foot pump (you pump it up with your foot and it pressurizes the water).
I thought how perfect for showering, washing dishes etc. in times without running water.
I will look up who makes it, if you are interested!
Have you thought about moving (soon?). I used to live in Yucaipa (near Redlands) Worked making costumes for Rileysfarm.com. (living history apple farm).
My 1st job was working there teaching living history!
I went to collage in Fullerton, and was always downtown LA in the Fabric District shopping for fabric etc. for my Historical Clothing business (catering to the Historical dancing, and reenactment community!)
Anyway the smog, chem-spray, congestion, lack of clean water etc finally got to me and I had to get out. Now I am so happy to be breathing clean air and drinking clean water with neighbors who actually, really care (amazing).
In Cali it was like EVERYONE was just to busy, even our own family's could never seem to find the time to get together!
I am really concerned about the things unfolding in the news in that area, especially the lack of water. Have you checked into where they are getting your water from?
Where we moved from they bring All the water in from out of state, and are now saying the drought is going to be so bad this year who knows if there will be enough for everyone!
They already stopped watering and lost tons of crops, avocado and almond trees last year, olive trees to I think!
I don't want to meddle, just concerned for you that's all.
We burned rubber to get out of there, and I would (and do) recommend it to anyone I know (of course only 2 have listened).
Many Blessing to you!
