Oh angular cheilitis is such an annoying infection, It never seems to want to go away, actually theres afew websites online that give out a cure I used the remedy at cheilitis treatment and it got rid of mine in a few hours, theres others out there,
Other things you can try to minimize this is to soak dentures in a solution of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water overnight if your a denture wearer as that will kill the bacteria, anyways I know cheilitis is annoying but it can be cured quite easily too in fact. The best of luck to you.
It is sometimes helpful to use lip balm products such as Carmex, Medicated Chapstick, or Bag Balm to promote healing. These items can be found at your local pharmacy. full info - Treatment for Angular Cheilitis
I used to have a lot of problems with angular chelitis, and I scoured the internet, and found out about the Palmolive soap solution. Problem was that I couldn't use Palmolive, as I live in a part of the world they don't sell that brand, so I used another brand, and the results weren't anything to mention about.
Then, I thought about it, and realised that there is something else very good at killing bacteria and viruses, that many use everyday; that being the hand sanitizers that contain alcohol. The alcohol kills the bugs. 'Medical' and 'Rubbing alcohol' also work, as long as you seal the disinfected area around your mouth with petroleum jelly. It's worked for me. I did this once before going to bed for about four nights, and it's only been a week but I've had no problems since.
Hope this helps anyone. Chris.
