I display each symptom I've read for Hypothyroid. This epiphany came to me after years of testing everything BUT my thyroid, and finally - a condition that matches every single symptom I have.
I have been preforming the test for the Basal Body Temperature when I wake in the morning, and it's consistently 96.5 - 96.7. I would like to preform a blood test for this, but I was informed by the nurse that the doctor will not preform a thyroid blood test unless they feel it needs to be done (and after 5 years of trying to figure it out with numerous doctors, none of them tested the correct tests for thyroid, so I'm not counting on it this round, either).
I've also been informed that these blood tests for thyroid are extremely unreliable, and that even if you are hypothyroid the test has the tendency to repeatedly miss this and results usually will return as 'normal'.
What is the most accurate way to test for Hypothyroid that I could perhaps request from a health care professional, or that could be preformed at home?
