wow I thought I had a lot at about 2000!! I actually just bought 2 albums on vinyl. My first vinyl purchase in at least 5 years. Vinyl is making a mini comeback with the kiddies. Cds are going the way of vinyl.....I know an indy record store owner and he says no one under the age of 30 is buyind CDs. The internet pretty much destroyed record stores. I never liked CDs and those annoying jewel cases
i am forever young. vinyl rocks the house. my 19yo has a working turntable and i dont right now(in storage). if you think the shins sound good in digital, you should hear the way they make that needle dance! he likes modest mouse, too.
You must've been one helluva 13 or 14 year old. That was one of my all-time favorite songs as a young person - for YEARS.
I dare say, it's probably a good thing you didn't tell her who you were - she probably would have married you instantly, too...if the laws allowed it...unless you meant "biblically married" of course. lolololol
Digging these stories and provided support material. I love how songs transport us back so easily - to a specific memory. Visceral.
I was a virgin until sometime in college. Not frigid, just nervous. Dude I was dating my soph/jr years essentially told me that if we didn't "do it" we'd better just be friends. Wrote him a letter, gave it to his best friend in a sealed envelope. I instructed him to come to my room/mini-apt at a specific hour, dressed entirely in black (don't ask me why - this was still mid/late eighties), bottle of Barcardi and some diet cokes (yuck!), indicated he must be also be sporting whatever stupid cologne I gave him, and - most importantly - bring some Rod. Could I get more corny? He should have dumped me at that.
