There are several of us fasting with the start of the New Year in colder climates. The cold is a factor although if you take enough cayenne you will keep warm. Fasting will still have great results in Winter. In fact considering how we tend to hibernate more in Winter this might be an optimal time to fast turning inward. I would take plenty of hot baths and allow yourself to rest. Get out in the fresh air taking walks as well.
If you have never fasted before this may be a more challenging time with the cold but really for me I enjoy fasting this time of year. You can find information to back up any theory you want to prove about fasting good or bad. Ultimately listening to yourself is key.
There is great info on fasting on the "ask Barefoot" forum. Go to his website directly and find the link at the top of the forum. Then once at his website read Book I. This alone will change the way you view life. Barefoot is radical in his approach to healing and frankly his knowledge is practical and helpful when it comes to herbal healing. The 14 Day Orange juice fast is easier than the
Master-Cleanse and I would give that approach a try. Maybe add in some vegetable broth or herbal tea in the evening if you are cold.
Enjoy!
