I try to avoid needles like the plague. Actually, I try to avoid doctors like the plague. My body is so unusual that they go crazy trying to figure out what is "wrong" with me. Yeah right, let's run half a mile and then see who has "problems" with their body.
But I did notice than when I don't eat my blood vessels become extremely hard. The last time I had blood taken the nurse complained that she was having trouble getting the needle in. I blame it on the doctors. They are the ones who told me to fast for eighteen hours.
The circulatory system does seem to go under a lot of changes during a fast. I'm not sure how it will affect your test.
