Hi rms4,
Glad to hear you made it through the first day. I'm on day 3 day now, I also have a headache since the first day but I expected that due to withdrawal and I'm sure it will get better.
You mentioned you couldn't wait to sleep, sleep whenever you feel you need to. I am a night person, up till all hours of the early morning when I'm not working. If I don't set an alarm I will sleep for exactly 8 hours and feel very refreshed.
I am self employed and decided to take some time off to do my fast, as it turns out its a really good thing I did. The first night of my fast I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Last night however, I went to bed at 2:30 am and figured I would sleep my 8 hours. Wrong! I couldn't go to sleep for several more hours, I had to get up and read to try and make myself sleepy. The last time I looked at the clock it was 5:45 am and I woke up at 8:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep.
I have read that sometimes during a fast your sleep patterns will change and I think its very important to listen to your body while fasting. I'm not tired yet but when I am I will listen to my body and go to bed no matter what time it is.
I'm feeling really good so far, no detox yet but I'm sure its coming.
I wish you continued success on your fast.
