pill-box hat
I've had microscopic skin mites all over my body for a year and a half. While I've tried many suggestions on this forum, and some treatments have helped to diminish the itching, crawling and pimples (boric acid in the laundry, boric acid and hydrogen peroxide scrubs (I can get straight up boric acid where I live), orange and oregano oil mixed with my facial cream, olive and orange oil soap, Neutrogena T-gel shampoo,Jason Damage Control Conditioner (has peppermint, orange, cedar, rosemary, eucalyptus oils already in it), and spritzing rubbing alcohol on my body)I haven't yet been able to get rid of these mites.
I have several questions and concerns: 1. I'm thinking about ordering soap from demodex solutions, but I'd also like a cream to put on my entire body, not just on my face, which they sell. I have been able to control the mites very well with orange and oregano oil mixed with my regular face cream. It looks like their scalp lotion comes in a biggish bottle. Has anyone tried to put this scalp lotion on their body? Any thoughts on if it would work?? Any other suggestions? I'm worried about what eventually could happen to my skin by spraying rubbing alcohol on it everyday, and anyway the alcohol just seems to stop the crawling for short periods, not kill mites. (also I don't have a bathtub, so I can't do soaks with salts and oils) 2. I want to avoid practices that would create mites resistant to boric acid, essential oils etc.---what are the best ways to prevent this from happening? 3.I have been tired lately and am suspecting I might have internal mites. I ordered Humaworm, but had a violent reaction after taking the first pill (vomiting and diarreah the next morning). Any suggestions for gentler treatments of internal parasites--or pointers to websites that could help?
I'll add a short descriiption of my condition here-- I think I contracted these mites from my flatmate. She went to Cairo for a week, described having tiny itchy red bumps on her belly while she was there, then brought them back to our apt. At first my legs had tiny itchy bumps, then the situation got worse and worse to where I could feel crawling all over my body night and day. I tried what I mentioned above along with permethrin sprays and cream (they did nothing), insect repellent, swabbing apple cider vinegar on my body, spraying a mix of essential oils on our furniture, putting lavendar oil on my body at night (stung v bad). I don't know if these mites are demodex or not (I've been to one dermotologist who basically didn't believe what I was saying and told me to go home and spray with Raid!) I think they live on my skin but also on fabrics (I got a new bed and was very careful with washing before sleeping and the crawling stopped while in bed---also I notice they get very bad when I wear things with a bit of elastic or nylon---socks are unbearable unless I sprinkle boric acid on them, some shirts with synthetics are too) My condition now is much better, I've learned that by not itching the bumps go away within hours, and somehow I can lessen the crawling with what I mentioned above. BUT I'm desperate to finally be rid of these, be persistant and be vigillant to ensure I don't have a condition like this again. I'm wondering now if the skin mites will not go away unless I'm free of internal
parasites (which again, not sure if I have internal ones or not).
