I strive to stick to a predominately 80% raw diet - lots of salads and juicing. I have a juicer and a blender. I don't have a Vitamix or a dehydrator - to be honest, I've not the patience to plan my meals far enough in advance to wait for them to dehydrate for 24 hours. I'd much rather toss together a salad or juice something. The balance of the diet is grains, nuts a little seafood, etc.
The one thing I would like to do is duplicate the Larabar's just to hopefully save money. Larabar's are raw.
Yesterday on our morning shoot, Michael (boyfriend) and I split 1 coconut cream pie Larabar (each bar is 1 serving and 200 calories) and we had our water. Everyone around us was eating donuts, Diet Coke's, Red Bull, etc.
By eating a predominately raw diet, at least for me, my body is satisfied more with less. I fancy that due to the periodic fasting, I keep my body in a better condition to absorb nutrients so as long as I give it the right foods, I eat much less.
