I've been growing my own veg this year. I only have a small garden so space is limited but i've had some successes.
Beans, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes. Broccoli wasn't that successful. Spinach from seed just died.
But to pick it and just eat it Wow! No pesticides or it travelling half way across the world or stored for months.
A baby carrot just pulled up and washed and eaten tasted so much better than cooked and what we have noticed is they were not so sweet as store bought carrots. Which in our opinion ours tasted nicer. I've heard they have more natural Sugar
in these days to make them more appealing to the sweet toothed people.
I'm thinking if i'm going to eat more raw i need to get good at this growing veg lark.
I'm wondering what to grow next year, maybe dig some more lawn up, i'm getting the bug lol!
Maybe watermelon! Any suggestions? What have you had success with?
