Although I can appreciate the humor in this, it's important for us to understand that getting what the bible says is not a matter of intellect.
The bible says people have been subjected to futile thinking because of wickedness.

Romans 1:18-21
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.



But for us that have turned from wickedness to righteousness, we also need to understand that we were only able to do that by the grace of God, and not because we were smarter, or better in any way than anyone else.


Romans 5:6-11
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.



The ten commandments are part of the law and the book of Galatians and the book of Romans explains to us that those that have been saved by grace are not under the law.

Galatians 3:10
All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”[2]

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
