100lbs? Well, I have lost 80
pounds in 8 months, so you should be sorted in under a year.
I am sure you will want to do a long fast to start with, as I did, but don't be too disappointed if you have to break it early. At the end of the day, you have to refeed at at least equal intervals, so the time taken to lose it will be the same for 10 days ones as 40 day ones.

Also don't worry if you put weight on at the end of each fast, you will. As I have said recently, this does not bother me because fasting has re-educated me into eating proper food, so I continue to lose it anyway, and probably would even if I wasn't fasting.
Oh and I have put on quite a bit in the last 2 days, why? Because I did a little fast, then found I was in the mood to get fit, so I have been eating lots of fresh fruit and some fish and enjoying myself. Am I bothered? Not at all. Just look at the overall progress.
Your biggest problem will probably be boredom, and perhaps readjusting emotionally as you feel better within yourself. The latter of course will be a positive experience. I usually watch movies when I am bored. However, if you have 144kids, they should stop you getting bored ;)
